JW ANDERSON WOMENSWEAR SPRING/SUMMER 2025 COLLECTION

By Crash Redaction

JW Anderson presented its Spring/Summer 2025 Womenswear collection at Old Billingsgate during London Fashion Week, delivering a playful and whimsical interpretation of femininity. The Irish designer explored unexpected silhouettes, blending silk, leather, and glitter to create striking and unconventional designs.

The collection featured pink sequin minidresses in candy floss hues, negligee-inspired gowns with sweeping architectural hemlines, and daring flying saucer skirts, outshining the trending puffball shapes. Anderson’s mastery of trompe l’oeil effects made silk minidresses appear as if crafted from fine-knit or crochet, while leather tutus and heavy wool dresses added structure and drama.

With a focus on materiality, Anderson limited the collection’s fabrics to silk satin, cashmere, calf leather, and sequins, resulting in an exploration of modern prettiness. Voluminous bomber jackets, inflated bows, and perfectly round skirts made bold statements, while lace details and printed essays on dresses added artistic depth.

Grounded in sculptural yet slender designs, the collection balanced the whimsical with the wearable, as models strutted in flat, ankle-skimming boots and carried the signature Loafer bag. JW Anderson’s Spring-Summer 25 show captured a fantastical spirit, offering a fresh take on feminine expression.
