KENZO NEW EXPLORERS EDITORIAL ON SPRING-SUMMER 2016

Kenzo focuses on its Spring-Summer 2016 collection with a new editorial by photographer Camille Vivier. The global traveller is the main protagonist of this season, bringing and collecting a mix of elements which are translated in a colorful and eclectic wardrobe. But if the collection explores unknown lands, the editorial focuses more on self-discovery. The line between genders, youth and bodies becomes very thin and leaves space to imaginary. The surrealist ambience reminds us of the beginning of the 90s, to its romanticism and fierce youthfulness. The underground vibe is due to the semi-darkness on green and purple camouflages backgrounds in which androgen young boys and girls are first protagonists. The styling, by Ursina Gysi, is a mix of beige joggings with the iconic logo, blue denim dresses and pink crop tops, the whole with teen accessories as metal hair clips on punk hair cuts and mini leather bags.
Inspired by August Sander and Wolfgang Tillmans, Camille Vivier’s photography plays with lights giving a decadent yet objective vibe to its portrait of youthfulness.
