KENZO PRE-FALL 2015 NEW YORK
By Crash redaction
On January 8, Kenzo presented a very tribal-inspired pre-fall 2015 collection. It was very colorful too, from deep green to vivid orange and multicolored graphic prints. The use of faux-fur and wool gives the clothes an undeniable sense of comfort accentuated by the loose cuts of the pants. While deliberately utilitarian, the clothes remain fashion-forward through the use of techniques like laser-cuts or hand painting. The reinterpretation of ancient hieroglyphs into a strikingly modern print as well as the superimposition of layers refers to the tribal inspiration with a contemporary twist.
