(LA) HORDE DIRECTS THE NEW RONE MUSIC VIDEO

By Crash

Just before COVID-19 swept the world in its dark cloak, the Théâtre du Chatelêt in Paris was buzzing with a very special show that saw the dance company (La) Horde unite with electro extraordinaire Rone for a beautifully raw performance of cutting-edge moves, powerful beats and hybrid choreographies. Currently at the head of the Ballet National de Marseille, the dance collective is known for blurring the lines between genres, representing the future of performing arts. Titled « Room with a view », the show was a call for action regarding climate change, a hard statement on the world, violent and dark but also glimmering with hope.

Last week, Rone came out with the music video for the track – also entitled « Room with a view – like a condensed version of the performance. Disturbing, alarming and undeniably beautiful, the video follows the dancers of (La) Horde as they engage in an end of the world choreography. With bodies expressing a range of emotions to perfection, you’ll be glued to your screen till the very end. Discover it below.
