WILLY VANDERPERRE AND IDEA BOOKS LAUNCH A SERIES OF FANZINES ENTITLED /12

After three collaborations between Idea Books and renowned fashion photographer Willy Vanderperre – including a year’s worth of Instagram pictures collected in 365, the book of images from his short film Naked Heartland, and a book capturing 10 works for fashion designer Raf Simons – a new project entitled /12 is now available! This time, the pair have created a series of 12 fanzines highlighting Vanderperre’s work. Each issue is devoted to one of 12 models, shot not as a fashion brand ambassador, but simply as a unique individual captured in a series of intimate portraits and close-ups. For his subjects, Willy Vanderperre has chosen models who also became his friends after working together on campaigns for Calvin Klein, Prada, or Raf Simons. Among them, we even find a few “new obsessions” like Mica Arganaraz, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Kiki Willems, and Natalie Westling. To kick off the project, the first two issues will be released at an event during Paris Fashion Week at the Comme des Garçons Trading Museum Paris, located at 54, rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré, on March 1 from 5pm to 7pm. The first two fanzines will focus on Julia Nobis and Clement Chabernaud. Both models began their careers with Willy Vanderperre, who shot the first editorial and campaign of Chabernaud. The remaining issues will be released on the first of each month for the next 10 months. We invite you to discover the marvelous shots of this amazing cast right away!
