LGN FW25-26: AN ODE TO ORWELL’S 1984

By Iris JEANSON

Louis Gabriel Nouchi’s Fall-Winter 2025-2026 collection draws pure inspiration from George Orwell’s 1984, reflecting themes of censorship, rebellion, and the pursuit of love and freedom. Oversized coats and tailored suits act as protective armor, contrasted with lingerie-inspired designs that expose erogenous zones, symbolizing the body’s vulnerability and political power.

A strict palette of black, bone, and dark khaki highlights innovative textures like mouliné wool jacquards, waxed leathers, and devoré velvets. Zippers slash through garments, while spikes and metallic accents evoke defiance and raw energy.

In this remarkable show, three distinctive collaborations emerged, each pushing the boundaries of creative expression. The Puma X LNG collaboration reimagines the iconic Mostro sneaker as a knit, sock-like slip-on. The new Ecco.Kollektive collaboration centers around Bonita and Borland leathers. And last but not least the Heineken X LNG collaboration unveils a statement ring that doubles as a bottle opener. Designed in elegant brushed steel, it reflects the codes of classic masculine accessories like tie clips.

This collection, as an ode to Orwell’s vision is supported by AI-created music. It questions individuality and self-expression in turbulent times, proving that differences are our greatest strength.
