LISAA MODE PRESENTS THE FUTURE IS NOW

By Chloe Edstein

Lisaa Mode Paris just put on their 2024 fashion show “The Future Is Now” at its centre, the discourse between the hand and the digital.

This fashion school, a part of the Lisaa ecosystem, was founded in 1986 and is no.1 in artistic and creative professions. Each year, the school welcomes 1,200 students in Bachelor and Masters, Fashion Design and Fashion Business. Its ambition is to train the fashion professionals of tomorrow by giving them all the tools to flourish creatively. Lisaa Mode Paris focuses on innovation, in an increasingly digital world.

Adrien Walz’s collection ‘Theater Magique’ earned them the prestigious Jury Pro Prize. The collection features redesigned sophisticated blazers with lightweight, airy skirts. One standout piece is the rounded shirt, which drapes gracefully with a soft, floral resemblance, exuding sheer elegance when paired with a long, flowing black skirt.

Eugene Laree received the Responsible Fashion Prize for the ‘Villes Cloches’ collection. This collection showcased a variety of textures and experimented with traditional silhouettes. Some pieces exuded authority while others conveyed a more playful, sporty vibe, striking a perfect balance. The standout a « coin plated » vest and textured, layered skirt with a substantial train encapsulated this harmonious blend.

Timothé Decamps received the Public Prize for the collection ‘Bien à Vous’, which captivated the audience with its striking red, white, and black colour scheme. The collection reintroduced form with distinctive headpieces, layered garments, and tailored skirts. The highlight of the show was a tiled skirt that either shattered conventions and then built a new, accompanied by a delicate undergarment and a standout collar piece that exuded flair.

The show was filled with talent, honorable mentions include Lola Garrido’s ‘The Morphic Masquerade’ – a layering phenomenon, Lola Bouillet’s ‘Pique-Nique’ – the perfect pair of bloomers, Sasha Fradin’s ‘Second skin’ – a rebels leather dream, and Jenifer Zako’s ‘OGO’ – a bouquet of colours.
