As Milan Design Week unfolds its myriad of creative marvels, one installation stands out as a testament to the enduring legacy of the great Milanese architect and designer, Cini Boeri. At the historic Cortile della Seta, Loro Piana presents “A Tribute To Cini Boeri.” at its Milanese headquarters. This installation, on view from April 16th to 21st, coincides with the centenary of Cini Boeri’s birth and the 100th anniversary of Loro Piana’s founding.

Curated in collaboration with Archivio Cini Boeri, the installation showcases iconic pieces of furniture that epitomize Cini Boeri’s playful, contemporary design ethos. Produced by Arflex and dressed in Loro Piana Interiors’ most exclusive fabrics, these furnishings invite visitors to interact and engage, embodying Cini Boeri’s vision of furniture as conduits for human connection and interaction with domestic spaces.

The installation unfolds like a narrative, guided by Cini Boeri’s architectural principles, a house with separate yet interconnected rooms, each offering a unique experience. At its heart lies the iconic Strips system, a modular masterpiece awarded the prestigious Compasso d’Oro in 1979. Surrounding spaces pay homage to other product families, inviting guests to immerse themselves in Cini Boeri’s timeless creations.

Each piece of furniture, meticulously upholstered in Loro Piana Interiors’ exquisite fabrics, tells a story of craftsmanship and innovation. From Cashfur to Cashmere Raw, Tiepolo wool to Pecora Nera®, every material is chosen with precision, reflecting Cini Boeri’s commitment to quality and comfort.
