
LOU DE LAÂGE STARS IN MELANIE LAURENT’S NEW MOVIE « RESPIRE »

Lou de Laâge, the beautiful young French actress, former face of Bourjois, was acclaimed for her performance in « Jappeloup » in 2012. Today, she’s starring in a new movie directed by none other than by Mélanie Laurent. She plays « Sarah », a young girl newly arrived in town. A fascinating mean girl, making friends with the perfect introverted student, played by Josephine Japy. Their friendship will quickly becomes toxic, poisoned by Sarah’s harmful personality. Lou gives a magistral performance for this movie and perfectly alternates between the kindest and the darkest, bringing much more complexity to her character. The film, based on a book by Anne-Sophie Brasme and on Mélanie Laurent’s own experience, is currently in French theaters.
