LOUIS VUITTON APPOINTS PHARRELL WILLIAMS AS LOUIS VUITTON’S NEW MEN’S CREATIVE DIRECTOR

By Crash redaction

On February 14th, 2023 Louis Vuitton announced that Pharrerel Williams will be the new Men’s Creative Director of the Brand and that his first collection will be revealed this upcoming June during the Men’s Fashion Week in Paris.
Pharrell Williams is a visionary recording artist, producer, songwriter, philanthropist, fashion designer, and entrepreneur. Over the years, Williams has always dedicated himself to artistic research and the world of fashion.
In the course of his career, he decided to found two brands: Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream, both close to the world of streetwear and skateboarding. In 2020 he founded Humanrace, a lifestyle company dedicated to personal care and wellbeing.

After the death of Virgil Abloh many people in the fashion world wondered who would take his place as successor; The choice of the Brand was consistent in relation to the figure of Virgil. Pharrel, like his predecessor, is a creative whose imaginative universes expand from music, to art, and to fashion and who especially over the years has established himself globally not only as a style icon but also as a cultural one. Moreover, it is important to mention that for Pharrel Williams this is not the first work and collaboration with the French Maison. The artist and LV had already collaborated in 2004 and later in 2008 for two collections in the accessories sphere.
