LOUIS VUITTON FW25: SUCH A TRIP THROUGH TIME

By Iris JEANSON

Louis Vuitton’s Autumn-Winter 2025-2026 collection transforms L’Étoile du Nord—the historic headquarters of the railway company, la Compagnie du Nord—into a symbolic stage for movement, encounters, and nostalgia. This season, the Maison explores the emotional essence of travel, where every departure and arrival holds a story.

The scenography, designed in collaboration with Es Devlin, reimagines a railway waiting hall—a transient space filled with anticipation, reunion, and separation. Three grand porticos symbolize the motion of trains, while dynamic lighting mirrors the shifting rhythms of day and night, capturing the fluidity of time and transition.

Music enhances the immersive experience, with a Tepr remix of Aaron’s Blouson Noir, specially produced for Louis Vuitton, evoking a sense of cinematic grandeur. The collection also pays tribute to Kraftwerk’s Trans-Europe Express, whose album visuals appear on select pieces, reinforcing the theme of travel as both a physical and emotional journey.

The collection embodies the range of emotions experienced at a train station—the thrill of adventure, the longing of goodbyes, the serenity of homecoming. Flowing fabrics contrast with structured outerwear, while a refined color palette reflects the duality of nostalgia and discovery.

An ode to its iconic travel legacy, Louis Vuitton introduces L’Express, a contemporary evolution of the timeless Keepall bag. With delicate hues and clean lines, it bridges the past and present. By transforming L’Étoile du Nord into a stage for storytelling, Louis Vuitton reaffirms its deep connection to travel, crafting a collection that is a journey through time, style, and emotion.
