LOUIS VUITTON MAKE A PROMISE CAMPAIGN

By Crash redaction

A PINKY PROMISE TO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE

A promise made to a child is a bond that can never be broken. By taking inspiration from children and their « pinky promises » – that youthful ritual that we used to make with friends and that assured us that we were bound for life – Louis Vuitton has launched its #MakeAPromise campaign at the beginning of this year to raise funds for children in emergencies, because no one should be deprived of his or her childhood.

Louis Vuitton renews its promise to provide these children – including nearly 250 million children worldwide facing violence, persecution, or danger – with all the resources they need, in the hopes of making the world a better place.

Since January 2016, the « Louis Vuitton for UNICEF » partnership has made it possible to collect more than 2.5 million dollars to help the children of Syria and Nigeria, while suppling water – a scarce resource in these countries – to 4.5 million Syrian children and their families. With the sale of each « Silver Lockit, » a silver jewel designed exclusively for this partnership, a portion of the funds will be donated to UNICEF.

A year after its partnership with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the French fashion house is giving us a good reason to shop and spread the word with the hashtag #MakeAPromise.
