LOUIS VUITTON MEN’S FALL-WINTER 2025 SHOW
By Iris JEANSON
Louis Vuitton’s Fall-Winter 2025 Men’s Collection, titled « Remember the future, » represents a amazing collaboration between Pharrell Williams and Nigo that celebrates their decades-long friendship. Together, they founded the streetwear labels Billionaire Boys Club and Icecream in 2003. Williams said about Nigo “he’s one of the greatest curators of taste and purveyors of what’s next”. The collection reimagines Louis Vuitton’s iconic designs “into the future through the telescope of history”.
Drawing inspiration from Nigo’s extensive archives of 20th-century workwear, the collection blends dandyism with streetwear aesthetics. Distinctive elements include Japanese-inspired motifs like the Dandy Damier and Dandy Monogram, which reinterpret traditional Louis Vuitton patterns with techniques such as shippo weaving and sashiko stitching. The collection features innovative silhouettes that merge tailoring with casual wear, including sculpted bomber jackets, hybridized parkas, and varsity jackets adorned with intricate insignia.
Accessories highlight the collaboration’s creative spirit, with special bag motifs celebrating the « Phriendship » between Williams and Nigo, including Damier Phriendship bags featuring their face profiles. Footwear and accessories continue the collection’s narrative, with the LV ButterSoft sneaker available in 50 colorways and unique pieces like flower-filled acrylic trunks created in collaboration with Japanese artist Azuma Makoto.
The collection’s soundtrack, produced by Pharrell Williams, features original tracks by artists like Seventeen and The Weeknd, further emphasizing the fusion of past and future.
