LVMH ANNOUNCES THE LIST OF 23 YOUNG DESIGNERS SELECTED FOR LVMH PRIZE 2016

LVMH just announced the list of 23 young designers preselected for the LVMH prize 2016. Supporting creation and innovation in fashion and luxury as a main objective since many years with mécenat initiatives, LVMH decided to set the Young Designers LVMH Prize three years ago to support the renewal of fashion ecosystem by giving the opportunity for young designers to develop their brand. For this edition, we have 6 young menswear designers, 10 young womenswear designers and 7 designers on both masculine and feminine lines, list as follows:

Cottweiler, by Ben Cottrell and Matthew Dainty (British designers based in London)
Facetasm, by Hiromichi Ochiai (Japanese designer based in Tokyo)
Feng Chen Wang, by Fengchen Wang (Chinese designer based in London)
Koché, by Christelle Kocher (French designer based in Paris)
Koike, by Yuko Koike (Japanese designer based in Tokyo)
Männistö, by Julia Männistö (Finnish designer based in Berlin)
Melitta Baumeister, by Melitta Baumeister (German designer based in New York)
Mikio Sakabe, by Mikio Sakabe (Japanese designer based in Tokyo)
Moto Guo, by Moto Guo (créateur Malais basé à Kuala Lumpur)

Y/Project, by Glenn Martens (Belgian designer based in Paris)

The 23 candidates will be meeting 41 professionals in the fashion and luxury industry (among them Tim Blanks and Emmanuelle Alt) and finally selected on the 16th of June 2016 by a jury composed by the most prominent figures in fashion as Karl Lagerfeld or Phoebe Philo. Good luck to all of them!
