LVMH PRIZE CANCELS ITS 2020 EDITION TO HELP YOUNG DESIGNERS

By Crash

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the final of the 7th edition of the LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers, which was scheduled to take place on June 5, 2020 at the Louis Vuitton Foundation, has been cancelled.

This year, the LVMH Prize will be awarded to the eight finalists of the 2020 edition, who were chosen by the Committee of Experts during the semi-final on February 27 and 28, 2020. The prize money of 300,000 euros will be divided equally among the finalists.
This health crisis is particularly weakening the young fashion designers of the world. This is why the LVMH Prize has set up a fund to help young fashion designers, which will be supplemented in particular by the Karl Lagerfeld Prize endowment for the 2020 edition.
In the name of the solidarity that unites the LVMH Prize community, this Fund will be intended for all the designers and their brands rewarded by the LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers and by the Karl Lagerfeld Prize of the six previous editions, upon presentation of a portfolio.
