« LA MAISON AU BORD DE L’EAU » BY CHARLOTTE PERRIAND, AT DESIGN MIAMI

After having first designed an “Icons” collection inspired by French architect Charlotte Perriand’s, Louis Vuitton is now creating “La Maison au bord de l’eau” for  the 2013 Design Miami .

« La Maison au bord de l’eau » was designed by Charlotte Perriand in 1934. Internationally renowned for her pioneering designs, Charlotte Perriand created many design masterpieces now regarded as icons.

Eight decades later, « La Maison au bord de l’eau » was constructed according to the original plans, Charlotte Perriand’s daughter : Pernette Perriand and Louis Vuitton have teamed up to build the first prototype of this house.
