ON THE RUNWAY AT MARNI MEN’S SS17 MILAN
The Marni man is a free-spirited mind. A great lover of arts, Consuelo Castiglioni shows with her spring-summer 2016 collection her incomparable approach to clothing. Opening the show is a grey two-piece suit worn with a long leather coat opened at the back. Many of the coats and jackets presented on the runway replicated this new shape. On one taupe jacket, the collar emancipates itself from the neck and shoulders, creating more space for the black turtleneck underneath. Strips of fabrics are also a common thread, whether adorning sleeves or accentuating the waist area of trousers and large shorts. Cut-out shirts and trousers’ hems made a big impact on the runway, and so did the prints that appeared towards the end. Marni at its best.
