MAX MARA PRE-FALL 2015 NEW-YORK

Max Mara is looking at the Eighties’ Manhattan art scene for their pre-fall 2015 collection, with minimalistic design and rich fabrics. Renzo Piano’s design for the new Whitney Museum of American Art turns into shapes on the catwalk, and Trisha Brown’s scarlet clad rooftop dancers are reinterpreted into the total red looks. The amount of animal prints and fabrics such as Alpaca, leather and faunal motifs are a reminder of Fritz Haeg’s installation « Animal Estates 1.0 ». In top of that, plenty of crepe wool and touches of metallic meshes give a chic and contemporary aura to the collection. The Max Mara girl is, once again, cool, classic and sexy, and as Robert Smithson says « remembering the past is one way to move into the future. »
