MIU MIU FW25: FEMININITIES
By Iris JEANSON
Miuccia Prada’s Fall/Winter 2025 Miu Miu collection offers a deep exploration of femininity, challenging traditional norms with curve shapes and thoughtful design. Starting from the traditional focus on body-contouring, the collection introduces shapes that sit around the body, rather than clinging to it. The emphasis is on the curve, whether subtly woven into garments or engineered beneath, creates sculptural silhouettes.
Feminine symbols such as brooches, bracelets, necklaces and fur capes and stoles play a central role in the collection, becoming strong statements that elevate the looks. These accessories serve to amplify the significance of the garments they adorn, transforming them into powerful emblems of femininity.
At its core, the collection embraces simplicity and sensuality. Fabrics like felted wool, silk knit, and cotton satin offer a tactile beauty that enhances the wearer’s presence, while the designs focus on form and texture rather than elaborate decoration.
The show itself, set in the hypostyle of the Palais d’Iéna, is a testament to the collection’s minimalist strength. Draped in yellow moiré, the stage becomes an extension of the garments, highlighting both the architecture and the collection. Miu Miu’s Fall/Winter 2025 challenges conventional ideas of femininity and redefines it.
