Miu Miu presents the launch of its fifth Upcycled collection, centered once again around the enduring allure of denim. Celebrated for its durability and beloved for the distinctive patina it develops over time, denim serves as the focal point for this innovative collection, both symbolically and physically narrating its own story.

Initiated in 2020, the Miu Miu Upcycled collection highlights the intrinsic value of vintage fashion while advocating for circular design practices. Embracing the ethos of sustainability, this project breathes new life into pre-loved garments, ensuring that the timeless beauty of fashion history is preserved and passed down to enrich the present and future.

For this latest collection, Miu Miu’s design team meticulously curated original denim pieces from experts worldwide. These garments were then delicately disassembled at the seams, before natural suede borders were expertly added, adorned with visible white stitching. The result? A stunning fusion of heritage and modernity, where classic denim meets Miu Miu’s iconic ready-to-wear silhouette.

The reimagined jeans boast a loose-fitting silhouette, worn low on the hips, while scarf tops and micro-shorts are abbreviated and cropped, perfectly aligning with Miu Miu’s signature style. Every detail is meticulously considered; snappers, carefully removed and reinstated, now feature intricately engraved Miu Miu branding. Blouson jackets undergo a transformation, shortened and adorned with suede borders replacing central buttons, along with a front-fastening zip for added flair.
