MONCLER MAYA X GIAMBATTISTA VALLI
By Roisin Breen
Moncler reveals Moncler Maya 70 by Giambattista Valli as part of its 70th anniversary celebrations: the Moncler Maya 70 Collaborations: seven reinterpretations of the iconic Maya jacket by seven designers.
Valli brings his signature to the Maya jacket, embroidering feathers onto his design. « Feathers quickly came to mind because they are the common element of my aesthetic and Moncler’s DNA. I don’t see them as ornaments, but as a material capable of floating in space. » Explains Giambattista Valli, who chose Bianca Brandolini and Honey Dijon to embody the jackets in the campaign. « Bianca and Honey are both sources of inspiration in my personal life and work. They both represent femininity, which they express and sublimate in their own way. »
