OUR ART ISSUE IS OUT!

By Crash

Our December art issue, Paris Experimental is finally out! Centered around the idea of experimentation, we met inspiring artists from past and present to pick their brains on their craft and the way they explore the unknown. You’ll also find interviews with musicians, designers and incredible fashion stories. Our first cover stars model Sophie Koella in Gucci, photographed by Frank Perrin and styled by Armelle Leturcq, in a a shoot inspired by Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining.

« Step into the heart of the matrix and discover the practice and process of artists on a permanent quest. Let’s cross generations, from icons to rising stars – Dan Graham the founding myth, Bernard Bazile the artist’s artist, Urs Fischer, Kiki Smith, French artists Michel Blazy, Jean Luc Blanc, Agata Ingarden – and observe how ideas germinate in their minds, how experience and improvisation are fundamental to their approach. In all these conversations, let’s focus on the room these artists leave open to chance, experimentation, instinct, and to what extent this question captivates them, both in their own practice and that of other artists. And it’s all happening in Paris and the Greater Paris region… After New York pilfered the idea of the avant-garde from Paris, has the City of Light regained its dominant position at the forefront of experimentation? » – Armelle Leturcq
