PARISIAN GLAMOUR AT SAINT LAURENT S/S 2019

By Crash

Anthony Vaccarello set last night’s Yves Saint-Laurent show at the Trocadero with the majestic Eiffel Tower as a backdrop and a some fake white illuminated palm trees that reflected in the black pool that served as the runway. Models stomped in water, making splashes with their stilettos. As always, there were many short skirts and mini dresses, showing off perfectly toned legs. Silhouettes were sexy, sophisticated, a bit provocative and exuded feminine power. That’s what Vacarello does best: giving women a fearless attitude.

Black was the main shade on the runway, present on all the revisited Smoking tuxedos, the corset-waisted pants and all the plunging necklines party dresses. Models wore python boots over their tuxedos, which gave an unexpected modern twist to the look. Shorts were shorter than ever, in denim, leather and velvet.
