PAUL SMITH CORNER SHOP AT DOVER STREET MARKET

By Crash redaction

PAUL SMITH CORNER SHOP OPENING AT DSM NEW HAYMARKET ADDRESS

As we all know, Dover Street Market has recently relocated to London’s Haymarket moving from the homonymous Dover Street that gave it its name. As a celebration to this, Paul Smith openen a corner shop within the 31,000 square feet of floor space available: a modest 3×3 meters cube that perfectly recreates the designer’s first shop which was opened in Nottingham in 1970. Returning to Rei Kawakubo’s Kensington Market initial inspiration in opening the store, Paul Smith’s cube shop will include an ever-changing selection of objects collected by the designer on his travels, reminding us of markets aesthetics and chaotic displays. The cube has been designed as a modular Meccano that can adapt its layout depending on objects disposition.
