PAUL SMITH MEN’S SS17 : ON THE RUNWAY

Paul Smith’s spring-summer 2017 collection is in some way an echo to the past, inspired by the Brixton jam of the early 70s and its underground culture. Models smiling with afro cuts, large goggles and colorful sneakers created a cool atmosphere during the whole show, spreading good summery vibes through the runway. Checked prints were all over, trousers and shirts to teddy jackets and elegant tailored suits in the brightest associations of colors. The collection may appear nostalgic, but it left room for some complete reinterpretations of the House’s iconic staples: the tailored suit has fitted trousers and a loose jacket, while paired with striped espadrilles and sporty T-shirts. Jackets’ collars and polo details bore a colorful striped pattern that that left us with a smile.
