Prada has just announced a collaboration with the German sportswear brand Adidas on two pairs of unisex sneakers which will drop in December and a bit later next year. This collaboration comes after Prada confirmed its participation in the 36th America’s Cup, a sailing yacht competition.

Inspired by the rich history and iconography of the two brands, the shoes will explore the boundaries of tradition, technology and innovation, defying conventions by adopting unexpected strategies. Style and performance will meld into one to conceive shoes that are both technologically advanced and of great quality, made in Italy. Sportswear has definitely found its place in luxury and it’s here to stay.
