PRADA FRAMES 2025: IN TRANSIT

By Iris JEANSON

Prada Frames is a project founded to provide the opportunity to collectively explore and share ideas, with a scientific yet educational and informative approach. The fourth edition runs parallel to Milan’s Salone del Mobile. Once again curated by design studio Formafantasma and titled In Transit, the 2025 symposium reflects on infrastructure as a living system, shaping how people, goods, and data move across the world.

This year’s sessions unfold aboard the restored 1950s Arlecchino train and inside the historic Padiglione Reale, two symbolic venues that echo the themes of mobility and power. From AI’s influence on cities to global trade routes, refugee movement, and even space exploration, the program offers a prismatic look at how movement defines the world.

Over three days, speakers including Alice Rawsthorn, Andrea Trimarchi, Marta Foresti, Lorenzo Pezzani, and Rose George explore the intersections of design, technology, ecology, and society. Prada Frames continues to position itself as a platform for critical inquiry and cross-disciplinary dialogue.
