The Fall/Winter 2022 collection by Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons was presented inside the Deposito at Fondazione Prada in Milan. The collection celebrates life and living and honors the profession of modeling and the history of the women that accompany it. Kaia Gerber, Kendall Jenner and Euphoria star Hunter Schafer were among the celebrity models to walk the show. Prada and Simons looked back at past collections to collide traditions in unexpected manners, an inversion and challenge of materials, of embroideries, and of garments that bring a fresh elegance to Prada classics. Embellished midi skirts with white tanks. Broad shouldered coats are adapted from the menswear collection and tailored construction gives new forms to the dresses. Referencing Prada’s own heritage, geometrics are translated to jacquard knits, embroideries and colors are echoed.  The collection seeks to contribute to the process of defining the modern meaning of beauty in its ongoing desire to reflect on and celebrate humanity.
