Following the tragic news of Philippe Zdar’s death yesterday night, Crash would like to pay hommage to this incredible musician and producer who has helped shape electronic music in France since the 90s. From his early days as Serge Gainsbourg’s sound engineer to his projects Motorbass with Etienne de Crecy and Cassius with Hubert Blanc-Francard, Zdar has never ceased to explore sounds of past, present and future, creating music that would last forever. We had the pleasure of meeting Cassius in 1999 and would like to share with you this interview conducted by Jean-Yves Leloup which came out in our sixth issue.
