REPORT MUSIC OF THE WEEK / RECOVER BY CHVRCHES

By Crash redaction

Recover is the first extract of  the new EP of Scottish electropop band CHVRCHES from Glasgow, formed in 2011.

Neon Gold described their sound as « a godless hurricane of kinetic pop energy ».Kitty Empire of the Observer wrote they « make accessible electro-pop that’s only just short of truly brilliant ».
Chvrches are influenced by acts such as Prince, Robyn, Depeche Mode or Kate Bush. The band writes, records, mix, and master their songs in a basement studio in Glasgow.
Their first single THE MOTHER WE SHARE has launched at the end of 2012. In 2012, Chvrches toured on their own and also as the opening band for Passion Pit. In 2013 they played in America for the first time, and performed at SXSW as well.
Recover is the first extract of their new EP which is coming for next spring.
