ROBERTO CAVALLI FALL WINTER 2016: ON THE RUNWAY
For his second collection as creative director of Roberto Cavalli, Peter Dundas put on a luxurious, Seventies-inspired show. Showcasing Italian craftsmanship in textures such as velvet, silk and embroidered details, the designer stays true to the Cavalli aesthetic, which puts glamour as a priority. Every look is paired with high platform boots in python, from the denim flare pants to the long, sheer dresses with deep V-neck. It seems the Roberto Cavalli girl is ready to boogie. Rich embroideries are the main focus of the collection: brocades on jackets and capes form beautiful arabesques in tones of gold, purple and emerald.
