ROCHAS RESORT 2016 COLLECTION
By Crash redaction
This season, Alessandro Dell’Acqua was inspired by the famous prima ballerina Margot Fonteyn and her personality between elegance and determination. The silhouettes exude lightness, while the sometimes unexpected mix of fabric gives an undeniable sense of freedom. Long, high-waisted, fluid dresses let the body appear while the knee-lenght skirts suggest an almost-confessed shyness. The Rochas woman is elegantly discreet, yet always sensual. A sensuality brought by the omnipresence of distinguished ruffles that give the collection a textured touch. An exquisite ballerina print on black satin dresses reminds of the ballet inspiration, while a tension between masculine and feminine elements brings a more contemporary element to the ensemble, just like this cashmere sweater worn over a ruffled skirt.
