RODOLFO PAGLIALUNGA: THE NEW CREATIVE DIRECTOR OF JIL SANDER

Italian designer Rodolfo Paglialunga has been named Jil Sander’s new Creative Director as of April 29th. The designer will present his first collection during Women Spring-Summer 2015.

Rodolfo Paglialunga began his career under Romeo Gigli in the early nineties and soon became his closest collaborator. The Italian designer is also known for working ten years for Prada until 2009, when he chose to leave the Italian brand to revive the French house of Vionnet. CEO of the Jil Sander group, Alessando Cremonesi, said he was very convinced by this decision and declared that Rodolfo Paglialunga was “the perfect talent” to take the brand to the next level of excellence and reach its new goals. Cremonesi added that this nomination would be the way to continue stimulating innovation and modernity within the brand’s heritage.

Rodolfo Paglialunga said he was honored to be given the occasion to play this role in the company, emphasizing on his endless admiration for the brand and faith in its vision and willing to write a new page of the the Jil Sander house’s history.
