Sacai presented their Spring/Summer 2024 Men’s collection today during men’s fashion week in Paris.

In an enchanting dance of creativity, designer and founder Chitose Abe delves into the essence of sacai’s signature codes. Inspired by the rebellious spirit of 70’s punk and the transformative power it carried, Abe’s vision takes flight, always gazing ahead with a hopeful embrace of the future.

This time, Sacai explores the art of uniformity, turning it on its head with a whimsical twist.

The jacket, shirt, and pants harmonize, creating an awe-inspiring totality. Pinstripes, denim, and floral prints intertwine, while traditional fabrics are reinvented, breathing new life through masterful craftsmanship and appliqué details.

Classic suiting undergoes a metamorphosis, as denim and suiting fabrics collide in a spellbinding fusion. The moleskin, reminiscent of 1940’s French workwear, dances with delicate flower prints, skillfully stitched and sewn, a tapestry of ingenuity.

Suits take on a new persona with pinstripes, tweed, and cotton gabardine, all in the name of Sacai’s signature transformation. Enter folded pleats, mystical folds that shrink proportions and craft smaller wonders, adorning peplums, pants, and skirts. Even a sleeveless trench undergoes a graceful slash, its fabric concertinaed and condensed, yielding a slender silhouette. Tradition bows to innovation as archetypes are turned inside out, offering a fresh perspective on the familiar.

In a delightful union, sacai’s enduring friendship with Carhartt WIP blossoms anew. Their legendary ‘duck’ fabric melts with suiting, weaving tales of synergy. Two Carhartt WIP jackets unite to form a singular masterpiece, while an overall bib playfully bonds with a pleated dress, forging an enchanting bond.

Punk’s resounding proclamation finds a playful twist in sacai’s creative hands, metamorphosing into the spirited declaration of ‘Know Future’. Like a radiant beacon, it beckons us toward a world brimming with optimism and boundless possibilities.
