SACAI SPRING/SUMMER 2025 COLLECTION: HYBRID FASHION REDEFINED

By Aicha NDIAYE

Chitose Abe presented yesterday the Sacai Spring/Summer 2025 collection during Paris Fashion Week. The creative director  returns to the roots of her iconic fashion brand by revisiting her early collections and reflecting on the house’s origins, Abe blends nostalgia with modernity, and creates fresh archetypes that honor the brand’s essence.

This collection reimagines Sacai’s signature elements such as jackets, MA1s, trench coats, pleats, and ruffles with a refined approach. The pieces are simplified, focusing on ease of wear while maintaining a memorable impact through bold hybrid designs. A hunting jacket is transformed with chiffon inserts, while a workwear all-in-one adopts a couture-inspired attitude. Classic navy blazers surprise with ruffles, and MA1 jackets introduce new silhouettes.

Sacai’s distinctive ability to merge unexpected elements shines through with deconstructed hoodies, voluminous pants paired with blouses, and dresses that reshape familiar forms. Each item stands alone yet carries the essence of Abe’s commitment to creating garments that are as practical as they are unforgettable. This collection captures the spirit of Sacai, bridging past and future with a fresh, modern lens.
