SAINT LAURENT FALL WINTER 2017/18 COLLECTION – PARIS
By Crash redaction
Under the abbey of Bellechasse street, Anthony Vaccarello presented his second collection for Saint Laurent. Asymmetrical dresses in leather or sequins worn with shearling gloves so long that they become sleeves, gathered or strassed boots, the collection Saint Laurent borrowed more than ever codes in a very seventies vibe. We also found the essentials of the Saint Laurent wardrobe with tuxedo, leather jacket and lace blouse. Nevertheless, Anthony Vaccarello is not restricted to renew every season the cult pieces of the couturier. He explores the Saint Laurent spirit beyond a simple reappropriation of the garment. Here, it is the masculine-feminine subversion, the eighties style, the sexual liberty of the woman’s body with dresses revealing the chest, which he develops. And always this same credo: to wear the Saint Lawrence, one must not be faint-hearted.
