Slender, fluid dresses with paletot style coats balance feminine and masculine. This contrast comes from Vaccarello’s inspiration for the collection: the style of Nancy Cunard. Outerwear in dense materials, including luxurious faux furs, contrasting with the delicate fabrics of the evening wear and chunky accessories combine the influence of Nancy Cunard with Vaccarello’s other inspiration, Yves Saint Laurent’s love for Art Deco.  This inspiration is less literal but is felt in the stiff silhouettes of the coats and outerwear with the long line of the evening gowns emerging from underneath.
