Shang Xia is the brainchild of Hermès and the Chinese designer Qiong Er Jiang, a relatively established company but a newcomer to the fashion week runways. Designer Yang Li has big ambitions for the brand, to bring Chinese creativity to the global market, and he definitely got of to a bright start.

Offering up a sufficiently futuristic but wearable collection, his use of colour and fabric was impeccable, offering up tailoring in orange, blue, pink and silver, neoprene, leather and silk. Footwear was slippers and sock boots encased in plastic bubbles.
