SONIA RYKIEL APPOINTS JULIE DE LIBRAN AS ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

When setting out to reach new goals, new changes must be made, and new leadership must be appointed, which was exactly Sonia Rykiel’s approach in appointing Julie De Libran as their new Artistic Director. As the house seeks to accelerate their international expansion and development, Julie De Libran was the perfect fit. Through both her personality, and her vast experience in previous roles such as Director and Creative Director for some of the most prestigious fashion houses (Prada and Louis Vuitton), De Libran represents the bright future of Sonia Rykiel.
Described as « a wife, a French woman, an international woman, a talented woman, a woman who loves to dress up and dress like a woman » by Nathalie Rykiel, and by General Director Eric Langon as having « a natural understanding of the Rykiel universe, of spontaneity and teamwork », it would seem Julie De Libran is stepping into a role she was destined for.
