‘A SUIT TO TRAVEL IN’ BY PAUL SMITH
By Crash redaction
On the last day of London Collections: Men, Paul Smith presented his fall-winter collection in the most original way. Introducing ‘A Suit To Travel In’, a suit made of high-twist 100% wool yarn and crease-resistant fabric, Paul Smith once again proved that he masters the art of tailoring. Still, tailoring doesn’t mean stiffness, and last week’s presentation was a demonstration of how a very sophisticated piece could still be functional. Indeed, the suit was first revealed with a gymnastic performance by Olympic medal-winning athlete Mac Whitlock as well as a performance by the artists from the National Centre for Circus Arts. For their show, all the artists wore ‘A Suit To Travel In’, proving its great qualities in terms of fabric resistance, ease of movement, and timeless elegance.
