SWAROVSKI PAYS HOMMAGE TO JEANNE LANVIN AT THE MUSEE GALLIERA

By Crash redaction

In March this year, the Palais Galliera in Paris will host the first-ever retrospective dedicated to the work of Jeanne Lanvin. The exhibition will show about a hundred pieces from the Palais Galleria’s archives as well as the Patrimoine Lanvin. Some of them are embroidered with Swarovski Crystals, just like the evening gown « Bel Oiseau » from the Lanvin Autumn-Winter 1928-1929 collection. Swarovski’s founder, Daniel Swarovski, was one of the early collaborators of Jeanne Lanvin, who made the use of crystal ornament on her gowns her signature. The exhibition celebrates the talent, expertise and visionary work of Jeanne Lanvin, who created her fashion house in 1885 – today one of the few iconic French fashion houses still alive thanks to the equally talented eye of Alber Elbaz.

The exhibition will run from March 8th to August 23rd at the Palais Galliera, 10, Avenue Pierre-1er-de-Serbie, 75116 Paris
