THE LVMH PRIZE ANNOUNCES A DIGITAL SEMI-FINAL

By Crash

Like each year, the LVMH Award has confirmed its success and international scope: this new edition of the Award attracted more than 1,900 candidates from all over the world. For the eighth year, since 2013, LVMH is supporting young designers around the world through an amazing sponsorship.

Among the many applications, twenty young brands and their designers were selected for the semi-final. These semi-finalists come from China, France, Italy, Japan, Lebanon, Nigeria, South Africa, South Korea, the United Kingdom and the United States, and, for the first time, Albania and Colombia, expressing a great diversity of cultures and talents.

This year, exceptionally, due to the imperatives of the pandemic, the LVMH Prize has set up a digital platform: from today to April 11, each and everyone will be able to vote for their favorite participant on the dedicated website among the the twenty semi-finalists competing for the final of the LVMH Prize. During this period, you’ll discover their collections, their creative universe, and their personalities to make the right choice.

Delphine Arnault declared:

« All semi-finalists integrate a responsible approach in their creative vision: use of innovative or traditional innovative or traditional materials, upcycling, recycled fibers, artisanal and local approaches. These initiatives echo the shift in the fashion and luxury industries. Among the semi-finalists, seven of them propose women’s collections, five men’s collections, two candidates, women’s and men’s collections. Six of them present a unisex wardrobe. This edition also marks the return of knitwear, second skin clothing and a bias towards color among some designers. »
