SUPIMA DESIGN COMPETITION ORGANIZES ITS 9TH EDITION IN PARIS

THE SUPIMA DESIGN COMPETITION PARIS’ COCKTAIL

Since 2008, the SUPIMA Design Competition lends its support to young fashion designers, organizing each year a show during New York Fashion Week, in the same spirit of The International Wool Secretariat fashion design competition which revealed Yves Saint Laurent and Karl Lagerfeld in 1954. From the early days of the contest, every edition’s winner has launched their own collections or is working for renowned fashion Houses as Michael Kors or Marchesa. This year, the fashion show took place on Skylight Clarkson Square, in New York. On September 29th, the winner and all the finalists presented their capsules collections in Paris during a cocktail party. The collections presented were created with support of AG Jeans, Brooks Brothers and Uniqlo. Jeffrey Taylor, this season’s winner, was chosen by a jury of leaders of the fashion industry and received a reward of 10,000 dollars in order to launch his future label.
