Each crafted by the nose Nathalie Feisthaeur, the perfume house SOUS LE MANTEAU returns with five new elixirs whose essences – studied blends of musk, vanilla, amber, and cinnamon – arouse an irresistible desire.

Through the poetic words of novelist Frédérique Deghelt, one feels immediately enrobed by the perfumes, each of which tells a unique story, as though our own personal pheromones enacted a gentle metamorphosis of the fragrance’s effect. Accompanied by a jewel of Limoges porcelain imbibed in perfume, a single drop suffices to envelop a woman’s body. At once voluptuous and delicate, the recipes of each elixir seem to emerge from a distant past, in which fragrances placed delicately on the necks of women represented a supreme luxury. One might even imagine the formulas coming from an ancient book of spells written entirely in Latin by monks and nuns recording all the medicinal virtues of plants.

More than mere perfumes, these five elixirs are aphrodisiac and irresistible potions. In the eye of photographer Pascal Perich, Sous le manteau’s fragrances provide the perfect pretext to capture fleeting moments in an ode to the female body.
