CANNES : SOLSTISS PRODUCES LACE FOR THE GREAT GATSBY

What is probably 2013’s most eagerly awaited film, the Great Gatsby, will feature an authentic Art Déco sensibility created by Oscar winning designer Catherine Martin.  Solstiss, the French lacemaker founded in the 19th century and still manufacturing for fashion and couture has produced about 1,400 meters of lace for the film, featuring 210  unique patterns.

The film directed by Baz Luhrmann and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Carey Mulligan will be the opening of the 66th Cannes Film Festival on May 15th, 2013.
