GIGI HADID PRESENTS ITS SECOND COLLECTION FOR TOMMY HILFIGER

After developing their first collection in partnership last fall – one inspired by the navy trend – Tommy Hilfiger and Gigi Hadid have continued with a second collaboration for Spring-Summer 2017. This time, the top model brought inspiration from her native California to embody the perfect Tommy Hilfiger style once again: cool, effortless, and confident. In this way, we find a university vibe with teddy jackets, a lot of denim, patchworks, and logos that embellish many of the pieces to reflect the effortless side of the West Coast.

Its Bohemian side, reminiscent of festivals like Coachella, comes through in light and fluid dresses with flower prints or stripes, which represent one of the line’s biggest motifs. The duo has given rise to a very complete collection, composed of ready-to-wear and accessories for summer, like a pair of glasses, caps, and shoes, from espadrilles and low-top sneakers to open platform sandals. Topping it off is a line of bags, from tote bags for the beach to backpacks for summer walks, as well as a range of colored and striped one piece or bikini swimsuits to brighten up summer. A regular feature of the New York runways, the brand will exceptionally present its new collection in Los Angeles on February 8, one day before the official New York Fashion Week, to better reflect the inspirations of the collection in a local way.

Moreover, the designer will opt for the “See now, Buy now” trend that has appealed to more and more brands: customers impatiently awaiting the collection will can buy their favorite pieces right away, without waiting six months for the line to launch in stores. That means Tommy Hilfiger will present its Spring-Summer 2017 womenswear collection at the same time as the new collaborative collection. The collection in a Californian Cool Kids spirit also reclaims the brand’s legendary colors – red and blue – which are complemented by a vivid yellow.
