Miu Miu presented its Autumn/Winter 2020 collection yesterday in Paris, with a cast of models, inspiring actresses and performers from different generations. On a very art-deco carpet, the first looks coming down the runway were magnificent crushed velvet gowns in vibrant shades of orange, forest green and lime worn with fluffy pea coats. Hair styles were quite vintage with 40s updos, feather bib hats and wild flower barrettes. Most looks were cinched at the waist with a rich leather belt, emphasizing women’s proportions and giving the models an hourglass figure. Gorgeous faux fur lined trenches or covered a coat in black and white over a retro knit body suit. Fluffy red pumps were a fun addition to the outfits. Little bit of sailor elements were also thrown in the mix, on a collar or in the choice of buttons. Overall, the collection was fun and flirty with a ton of cocktail dresses that can take you from day to night.
