UMBRO X ART OF FOOTBALL COLLAB FOR ENDANGERED SPECIES DAY

By Crash redaction

Umbro, the global sportswear brand founded by two brothers in 1924, joins forces with football culture collective, Art of Football, a British brand also founded by two brothers determined to innovate sportswear design. The result of this partnership is a unique collaboration that celebrates a shared love for British design, Umbro’s footballing heritage and the desire to create more environmentally sustainable products. The collaboration coincides with Endangered Species Day on 20th May 2022, an event that aims to increase awareness of the fragile existence of some of the world’s animals and plants. The capsule features two recycled polyester jerseys, nods to classic Umbro styles and spirit of adventure. The patterns of both have been inspired directly by endangered species with a pop-art influence.

The sky blue “Rhino” jersey features a relaxed silhouette, a rib collar, chest patch pocket and an eye-catching graphic to the front and back of the garment. The print showcases three tonal rhinoceroses on top of a repeat design consisting of the collab partners’ logos. The navy “Dart frog” jersey has a loose fit with a vintage crew neck as well as the striking pattern of the Poison Dart Frog’s skin markings to the front and back of the top.

Both jerseys are currently available at art-of-football.com as well as umbro.fr.
