For her pre-Spring 2016 collection, Véronique Branquinho designed fifteen dresses, all in black and white. The motivation behind this collection is the use of natural fabric like silk or cotton. A choice that perfectly suits Branquinho’s aesthetic this season, as we discover the collection shot by Ronald Stoops in a black and white forest. The girls are paired with their « alter ego » and evolve in this terrestrial element. Like the designer explains, this collection comes from the desire to go back to simpleness, to the core of our humanity. « As a person, I value more and more the simple things in life. A return to simplicity and to an uncomplicated lifestyle. Although the dresses are romantically long, they express through the choice of fabric, a daytime feeling. The images of the collection shot in the woods express total freedom and beauty, that always has been an inspiration to me. Forever Wild at Heart. »
