In the Versace womenswear collection this season, Donatella Versace presents a woman as an arrow in a bow, pulled back with energy and ready to unleash its power. Tightly cinched waists, latex gloves and knee-height boots flirt with the subversive. Signature Versace tweeds in bold pink, deep red, charcoal and an avocado green, frayed and dripping in crystal and metal chains. Pin-sharp pumps are finished in a latex-like brushed leather with metal heels.  However the iconic Versace bustier is the foremost trend throughout the collection, modernized and incorporated into sculptural outerwear and sportswear shapes. Silhouettes are seductive and fully empowered, with strong-shouldered silhouettes and the bustier revealed under open suiting and exaggerated overcoats. Textures continue the collection’s play on contrast. Bags with a shoulder strap or  a hand-slip from the new Greca Goddess line can be seen throughout the collection.
